Local Market Wedding in Regina, Saskatchewan

Verna & Aric spent over a year working with me as we planned their wedding at the historic Local Market in Regina, Saskatchewan. The perfect backdrop for celebration of I Do, and an incredible party to follow!

Both the bride and groom spent the morning getting ready with their closest friends and family members. Verna, her mom, and the bridesmaids got ready at Honeycomb Hair Lounge, and Aric, and the groomsmen spent the morning at his family’s house before their day kicked off.

Following their first look at a park nearby their house, the couple went off with their bridal party for photos and pre-ceremony celebrations before heading to Local Market in the Food Hall for their ceremony at 5:00pm.

Their ceremony, officiated by Tracy MacDonald featured heartfelt and personal vows to one another. Watching from the back of the room, I knew there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Once Verna & Aric were pronounced husband and wife, their guests moved swiftly from the Food Hall into the Docks Room for cocktail hour and the reception.

One thing about Verna & Aric is that these two have fun together, and they set the tone for their reception immediately with their grand entrance! The two walked in with massive card board cut outs of their dog Frankie, and cat, Julio, who where very much involved in every meeting through the planning process! Julio, often on Aric’s shoulder.

For dinner, guests enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by Rybchuk’s Catering, before heading into toasts. Listening to Verna & Aric’s family and friends honour them on their wedding day was truly so special. It was easy to see how much love they have for those around them!

Ecstatic Entertainment kicked off the party, and kept the dance floor full ALL night! Guests took part in the cigar bar the couple provided, and devoured pizza from Boston Pizza South as a late night snack. It truly was one heck of a party celebrating the love of two incredible people!

Verna & Aric were Full Service Planning clients which means I worked with them 1:1 for over a year and a half to bring their wedding dreams to life! They were able to truly enjoy the experience of being engaged and planning a wedding, and relax completely on the day of. The Wish team even took care of full set up and tear down in the days before and after their wedding! It was a celebration I won’t soon forget, and am so grateful to have been a part of!

Michelle spent over a year helping us plan our wedding, and I’m so thankful that we chose her! Best decision we made!
